Hey! This is my guide to making your own Garry's Mod server! (This also works for other source multiplayer games too! Thanks Valve! )

First step - Download the newest (to date) HLDSUpdateTool.exe from my own upload here: http://www.mediafire.com/?z1yzfznmzmg

Second Step - Open the file and click install then goto Start>Run> (type) CMD (Press Enter)

Third Step - type in the following : cd C:\srcds (press enter)
(then type) hldsupdatetool.exe -command update -game garrysmod -dir c:\srcds (press enter) On Windows Vista/7 you will need to press Continue (If UAC is on) NOTE: It will take a while to download everything but it will make your server!

Fourth Step- If you would like your server to cracked, you will need to patch a file called engine.dll. I have made a patcher available to download here: http://www.mediafire.com/?wyjwmn22dtv download this and copy it into your C:\srcds\orangebox\bin folder. Once copied, drag the engine.dll file onto rev_patch.exe and it will patch the file for you, click Finish when its done. You're nearly done! Just three more steps!

Fifth Step - The Server.cfg holds the settings for your server, go here http://viperbite.forum777.com/the-garrys-mod-10-server-stuff-f5/servercfg-t35.htm where it tells you what to fill in and where to save it.

Sixth Step - To start your server, look at this post, which tells you how to make your server launcher!

Seventh and Final Step! - To add your server to the Setti MasterServer, goto http://css.setti.info/servers/submit_servers/ where you can add your server. In the box where it asks for the server and port, goto http://cmyip.com and copy the address that looks like 12.34.56.78 (or similar) and paste n the box that asks for the ip and port and after the ip put ":27015" (without Quotes). The info you should put in will look like 12.34.56.78:27015 for example.

Just open your start server file and thats it! Enjoy your new server.
